We Believe…

We believe that there is only one God, who has created all things for His glory and honor. That God  manifested Himself to mankind as the Father in creation, the Son in redemption and the Holy Ghost  indwelling and inspiring those who place their trust in Him.

Deuteronomy 6:4. Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your  God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command  to you today shall be on your heart. We believe that God is love and that sacrificial love was shown to fallen humanity when the Father  gave the son to redeem all who believe on the Son.

John 4:8. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that  dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

We believe Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless human life, willingly took upon  Himself all of our sins, died and rose again, and is at the hand of the Father as our advocate and  mediator. One day, He will return to fulfill the eternal plan of God.

I Timothy 2:5-6. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;  Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

I Thessalonians 4:14-18. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which  sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which  are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord  himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of  God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up  together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

We believe apart from Jesus Christ, that we are lost due to our sinful nature and that salvation cannot  be earned through personal goodness or human effort. In essence, salvation is a gift from God that must  be received through repentance, baptism in Jesus Name, and the gift of the Holy Ghost!

Ephesians  2:8-10. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of  works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good  works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

We believe in water baptism as a public profession of a person’s faith in Christ. We believe that  according to scripture, baptism is complete immersion and is administered in the name of the Lord Jesus  Christ.

John 3:3-8 We believe that one must be born again to see and enter the Kingdom of God. Jesus  answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see  the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter  the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,  Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is  born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee,  Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst  not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

We believe that the Holy Ghost/Spirit is essential to salvation and convicts the world of sin and  draws people to Christ.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus  Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 2:4. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house  where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon  each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as  the Spirit gave them utterance.

We believe that the Bible is God’s written revelation, and that it is the inspired, infallible Word of  God, and het supreme and final authority of all matters upon which it teaches. No other writings are  vested with such divine authority.

II Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,  for correction, for instruction in righteousness.
